bobber or chopper

I built this and I think it is neither, just a bunch of new shit bolted together.

When I take something 40 plus years old and spend more time filling holes and cleaning rust, chasing parts, and then hand building a bike, then I feel I have done something.

Anybody can do this.

When looking for a picture, I rediscovered this videoclip I made in 2005 I think..

The first startup of the sport scout bobber..:

Don't mind the smoke from the conserving (?) oil and the rough running (just initial carb adjustments)...

you are wrong my friend. not everybody builds there own shit, new or not. it is an achievement. the bike is cool. very cool.

you are right about one thing though, not quite a bobber, not quite a chop...

I have a LOT of respect for your point of view and generally agree. That's still a beautiful bike that anybody should be proud of. I disagree a little though. While it is an assembled bike I'd say it's solidly in bobber territory.

I was going to build a bobber this winter but ran into a deal on a ktm 950 I couldn't pass up. So no build this winter. Here is a bike a friend built a few years ago that I really like...minus the bob tanks. And he wanted a little flat track feel and threw the plates on it.

This the picture I shot that was in the Horse last year.

I am also a HUGE SuckerPunchSally fan. They make cool bikes, not clown rides.
