I've got mine listed in Flea market, and on a couple of Midwest CL. I'll miss it, but it's time I move on. It will cover the miles so easily.

K1200lt
i bought my first brick bmer last august.my last one was a R60/5 in the late 70s.went through 2 hondas,a yamaha and 3 harleys and 25 years before this bike.at 55 im getting kinda spoiled with the heated grips and seat.i really like the comfortable seat and 100 horsepower.not sure how long ill own my 97 vALKYRIE yet.its been 5 years and 54K miles.still not tired of it yet.i like having 2 bikes.thought about selling it and getting a bmwK1200RS .but i wouldnt mind an 03 HD heritage classic either.and then i thought maybe a hack for my golden years of biking.so many bikes to choose from.the K1200LT will be with me for a long while though thats for sure.its barely broken in.only 20K and ive only put on 2K since i bought it.gotta start touring RIGHT NOW.too bad i gotta work.

Yup, I got one, 85 K100RS. It's the best street bike I've ever owned.
But I want a GS now in the worst way, so it's for sale. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321850

I hope to be!
Before I knew I wanted a motorcycle I saw a K bike with ABS, and thought it was the coolest feature ever on a bike. Thinking back to it, it must have been a late 80's K-Bike.
Fast forward to last year, I finally decided to get a motorcycle and bought a BMW w/ABS- a XCountry. With a few thousand miles under my belt, I know realize that I need a longer haul bike. My biggest problem is finding a good US spec bike here in Germany that won't break the bank. A co-worker has a 1985 K100RS he is thinking of selling and I have been digging through the 'net reading up on 'em and am hoping against hope that he decides to sell. Here's a pic of the bike hiding next to my XC- ![]() Wish me luck!

I have a K1200S, still less than a month. It is an amazing bike. Fast, stable and comfortable.

A Kouple of Klassic K's. Both FY 85's
The RT with a nearly complete make-over is slated for a 10k big road trip next month. ![]() The RS logged almost 20k last year. Still running great - closing in on 70k. ![]() And my favorite photo so far.

I am in the service so I pay AAFES prices currently $3.77 a gallon for the good stuff.
On the economy it is 1.49 Euro per liter so with the converson to gal and then to $$ it comes out to $8.86 per gallon. It really self regulates the unrestricted autobahn, not many want to drive 100+ and lower their gas mileage to low teens. The only vehicles I see at sustained high speeds are company vehicles (trucks and mini vans at 120 mph is a sight) and a few Porshces, some with red Stuttgart manufacture's plates

I bought a new 04 K1200RS at the end of 04. Love it. The throttle feels like its connected to the smoothest powerplant in a motorcycle. Day long comfort. Quick through the twisties. Admiring comments from bystanders (its Alpine Blue and White). Surprise from bystanders when they realize its a BMW. Never going to sell it. Thought about it and maybe the new R1200R, but, couldnt justify selling a bike this good. I did get an 08 KLR to commute in the city though. Save the K for the good stuff.
