Who knew ?
That my Granfather was a sidecarist...........not me. My mum was looking thru some old family pictures and she scanned and sent me this.
![]() I never met my grandfather, he was killed in the Second World War. Grandad is seen piloting the Matchless.

My own late father had an outfit, likely british tug based, back when I was three y.o. I think that I was sat up on the fuel tank during family outings.
Practices change over the course of 55 years -- motorcycle helmets, for one factor, were made a requirement (in QLD) back in 1968.

Too Cool!!!
That is such an awesome picture. My Dad was a Naval Officer and had an old Harley in his junior officer days, that Mom never wants him to talk about... ever. Luckily, my son has known motorcycles since he was born is ready for a GS of his own... Thanks for sharing!!

Love the Single Sloper, as well as the chair. Excellent combo.. Tough looking fellas.. Lots of style in those days.
