- Left fork down tubes broken 90% through, twice!
- 5 flat tires (leaky beadlocks and/or rim).
- Broken wire to starter motor.
- Radiator fan quit working for a while.
- Boiled over.
- Mount for odometers broken.
- Cable going from VHF radio to helmet disconnected.
- Radio connector swung into chain, broke chain.
- High-pressure fuel line sprung leak.
- Exhaust guard smashed by passenger.

There were other non-mechanical "issues" that were equally troubling.

An excerpt from a report written by Matt at Durka Durka Photo:

"...Back to the hotel for a 4 hour nap then I was back at the finish. Hung out there again until the 5SC (sidecar) finished around 15:00. They timed out by about an hour but the fact that they even finished is really amazing. I don’t think I have ever been that happy to see a team finish the race. This shot really sums up what finishing the Baja is like to me. Exhaustion, accomplishment, elation, relief. There is no real action but its one of my favorites of all time."

...and not many will fully appreciate the irony of a beer being poured over Scott's head. Scott is such a lover of beer
A pretty good photo chronology can be found here...

...all photos shamelessly borrowed and stolen from various amateur and professional photographers to help paint a decent picture of the Hog Wild Baja adventure.
