The Thruxie is indeed a fine and beautiful scoot. I have a pal who
races one in the now renamed Thruxton Cup and loves it stupid.
Beyond taking care of its' breathing issues, a set of Ohlins can
move the bike up to a whole new level.

The Ducati Paul Smart is however in a whole other league, putting out 95
ponies and weighing considerably less than the Triumph. It can easily
keep pace with most supersport bikes when piloted well.

I've spent considerable time on them both and have owned a Bonnie.

The Duc offers real performance with slightly more radical ergos
than the Thruxton.
