I have 65k on my '00 1200. I'm on my fourth chain. Stocker lasted 16k. Next three were DID ZVM X-ring. Second chain lasted 24k, but probably should have been changed 4k earlier. It was pretty gnarly by the time I replaced it. Third lasted 20k. I put the fourth on at 60 k. My chain maintenance consists of spraying with WD-40 and wiping off with a rag about every 300 miles. YMMV.

As far as tires, I'm on my 12th set: Stock B'stone BT54, one set of Continental Contiforce, three sets of Dunlop 207, two sets of Metzeler Z4, three sets of Dunlop 220, currently on my second set of Continental Road Attacks. The Road Attacks are the best yet. 7.5k on the rear, close to 10k on the front. Again, YMMV.
