BMW Sports Suspension for airhead GS

Well, in spite of all the aftermarket options, I decided to keep things as "factory" as possible and went with the BMW sports suspension (made by WP).

I'm glad I did because I'm very pleased with the results.

New front springs and a new rear spring strut. Handling has improved and front brake dive has been reduced. The suspension is firm, but not stiff or harsh at all. I strongly recommended it.

Hello:

Can you give mor details: Your bike's year, exactly what you did, part numbers (if possible) and appox costs? I have a 93 PD and I'd like to spruce up the front suspension this winter. Am considering replacing every single part inside the fork tubes!

BMW sports suspension consists of:

New front springs BMW part #31422315510 (MSRP $113.69)

New rear spring strut BMW part #33532337131 (MSRP $721)

I have a few pics, but seem to be having trouble uploading them.

Bike is a 1995 R100GSPD Classic.

Thanks. The PO of my bike (93 PD) put a brand new Hagon shock out back. While it's not an Ohlins, it's not horrible either. So, will live with that for a few more years. But up front I need some improvements.

Did you do any other work up there? Bushings, fork seals, etc..? My bike has 72K and was considering replacing ALL of the stuff inside the fork legs, including the springs, and starting fresh.

Just springs in front

Just new springs in front (and new fork oil).

BTW, the rear WP shock is very nice. Threaded coilover style with remote piggyback reservoir and adjustable preload, compression and rebound.
