Update

Garmin can't fix it either. They're waiting for a replacement unit.

This could take a while....judging on past performance.

A bit of a development....

Garmin just sent my unit back to me and it appears to have transformed into a Zumo 550 with all the mounts for a motorcycle and maps for Europe!

Is this a good deal? It's a big and bulky unit compared to the Quest but it's a lot easier to use and read.

I reckon I'm pretty happy with the deal....cheers Garmin!

That's great news. You'll enjoy the Zumo. I have both a Zumo and Quest (and Quest II). I like the portability of the Quest, but I really do like the screen display more on the Zumo. The touch screen really helps too.
