990 Cannister Hoses

    I seemed to have misplaced the hose that goes from the left fairing to the right.

    I looked these hoses up on the parts fiche, and they are NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber). Should I be able to pick some of this up at an automotive parts store? Also, what is this style of hose clamp called (fiche description is "*YDNAC CLAMP).

    aren't you gonna lose the canister while there ?

    search "canisterectomy" on the forum or look it up in the H.O.W and you will find more details about what, how, why ? etc ....

    Yeah...I don't know why I didn't. I removed the SAS stuff while I was rebuilding. I should have removed the canister, too. Will have to wait until next spring when I do a valve adjustment. Need to get the bike into storage soon.

    While you are at it, loop the vent hose up into the faring (pic shows the project about half-done).

    That will allow you to fill both tanks all the way while on the sidestand without overflowing.
