About the mascot thing. I did not set a mascot in place but I don't see that it precludes someone else from doing so in the future. I liked the egg but it seemed more about the egg than about the ride and to me it is all about the ride So the next tagger or the next one after that shoul feel free to choose a mascot. I will run with it. But if any of you all get too attached I will also make snide remarks. Heck I might even make snide remarks any way One moe thing. I checked the hiding place in IL just in case. I found this. And it almost became the new mascot. I left it behind at the store to avoid the temptation
I just purchased a virgin marble egg, in the event that I make a grab soon, and no one else has decided to insert a mascot of their own. Like the idea of a rusty can Yankee Dog, as who would steal that? You could plant it in plain view too!
Do you mean we have a grab AND a drop?? Like, this game is really back in play?? WOO-HOO!!!!! GAME ON!!!!!! Great work Yankee Dog!!!!
I know wxactly where it is. I may grab it wed if noone else does by then. I like the mascot idea so if I grab it I'll have a New one. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I never really considered the can (for long). I mean, someone was likely to sand blast the rust off and powder coat the damn thing or something. What fun would that be.
Damn. Now I want to go grab the thing and powder coat a vienna sausage can or something for a mascot.
I checked the rules. Whats the time frame on posting the new tag after a grab. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
A stone egg has no more intrinsic value than the rusty can...until it begins to mysteriously move about the continent gaining power through distance and experiences with the FF carriers, just as 'Our Precious" did. It is this mystical power and perhaps the FF signatures that grabs FF's and lures them into the crime of eggduction, not concerned with the consequences that they, as Gollum, will suffer if holding too tightly to this powerful symbol. Any mascot, even a tin can, will gain the drawing power of riding miles, hence seduce the ill will of a very small minority of us. I am for a mascot non the less, even if it is a rusty can. There is no stopping the magic of NA-TOR. Thanks for playing along. It's been and continues to be a great game*, but remember... it's just a game. GS3&TT2
See rule 5.... If you are up front and posting pictures and keeping everyone informed you are given lots of rope....have a great adventure #5 Read the Rules, understand the intent of the game. Quality not Quantity. If you want to tag a stop sign at the corner of "I'm impatient" and "Hurry Up" roads just to up the tag count, play a local game instead.. There are no rules that say you can't play more than one game at a time, so if this one sits for a week or two while the stars align for a big move, then so be it.. Obviously don't sit on it for weeks on end if you have no plans to actually take it somewhere though
There is no hard and vast rule on this. As KJH said its quality over quantity. However I would rather see someone drop it at the end of their drive way than sit on it for six weeks.
+1 The idea of this tag is to move distances, cross state lines, country boundaries so if your driveway is in a different state then that's a good place to tag. .
Ok you NC slackers. I didn't drop this thing in the middle of a hot bed of tagging activity just to watch it sit there. It's been there for two days and one of them at weekend Now get to it
I'm plotting, but there are so many locals within a 1-2 hour ride that it will probably be grabbed before I get some time off work.
I really don't see it lasting the day. I've got to be in that general vicinity this coming weekend, but it's mainly to help someone out. If it's still sitting, I'd consider the 8 hours of slab it would take from here...
Holy Crap!!! This tag is literally a couple of miles from my house, and my bike is broke!! ARRGGHHH!!! Wonder if I could push it that far.....
