...using electrical tape. I rode with a friend for two years before I asked him why he had electrical tape on his full face helmet shield; NOT on the top - but on the bottom.
Seems it works like a ballcap in the low sun, or can be placed in such a manner as to block reflections from the guages or tankbag map, or what have you. Even that solar flare from the back window of that pickup in front of you. It is a sunshield that is adjustable, and because it is on the bottom of the shield it is very versitile.

I just returned from 3200 mi. through Oregon an NoCal and it really works! Used to be a real problem spotting deer with the sun in my face. Hell, it was hard to see anything! I can't believe that I have ridden all this time fighting low sun when relief was right in my toolkit.

    Give it a try!

I have two widths on the top of my Nolan Helmet. Works great except in extreme cornering I need to lift the shield a notch to see around the bend when I am leaned way over.

I much prefer the Scheuberth Concept with the flip-down sun visor.

No smugmug account yet but I would say it should be from the bottom, up to about two inches. Put it up to as far as you can stand with the shield in the down position.

    Good luck!

A friend puts a strip accross the top. It is out of eyesight and in the sun you just have to drop you chin a bit to block the sun. Works at high speed too...
