Ok, so here is the plan. It sounds as if Geek is swamped at work and home. So I am looking at putting this together again.

Coming from Northern Colorado? Check this out from CJ.. LINK
    [IMG]
    The plan.
Arrive Craig at my place Thursday Night the 28th of May.
    The Route,
Day 1(May 29), looking at a new route that will take us south out of Craig, zig zag the area south, lunch/gas in Maybell. Then west to Elk Springs, the Bench Road to Echo Park

Day 2(May 30), Echo to Lodore, across the top of Blue Mountain, down through Dino land, or you can take the NOOB killer. Lunch/gas Jensen. Over the mountain to Crouse Canyon, THEN Taylor Flats, and up to 3 corners(working on the route and the range), across Cold Springs Mountain, down Irish Canyon to Lodore.

Day 3(May 31), Lodore, the ridge Path, to Maybell. From there it is up to you, South through Crooked Wash, North to Adobe Town, or whatever. I have to be home the 31st and on the road to a class for my new job on the 1st.

Do not expect catering at Echo Park....I am not handling any of that, I am hoping to keep it simple. I wil burn some burgers and such at my place Thursday-Just pm me that you are coming and I will get you some burgers chips, veggies and beans.
I will have ice and coolers for beverage of your choice. I will get some "common" hop based beverages and soda.
I will have a big cooler of tea and water
I will make some coffee Friday morning

I will arrange a porta john at my place for Thursday
Instead of Paypal. I will just ask you kick in some for the cost of it. $95 split between all of us, and kick in for the meat and dinner.

    Tracks
I will get those up on my webpage soon. nyoast.weebly.com ---> tracks

Water my place -- Maybell, Echo Park, Jensen and Lodore
Gas/Food -- Craig, Maybell, Jensen, Maybell

    Camping
    Craig my pasture
Echo Park-- I will reserve the Group Camp spot
Lodore- no group spot, but can put multiple tents per spot

    The ride-big bike "friendly"
The roads are a mix of maintained county, BLM 2 track, some ATV track and about 3 miles of some easy single track. Expect gravels, sand, mud, rocks-be aware that conditions can change a big bike friendly area to not so in a matter of minutes. ie the Carnage last year at Fortification, or the "Sand Hill" the year before!
This is remote, poor cell coverage, you are 2+ hours from an EMT or rescue. Know your limits.
Be able to fix your bike, flats are common.

NW Colorado is Where the Old West still exists. Expect sheep, cows, deer, elk, pronghorn, bighorns and wild horses. Pictographs and petroglyphs, a medicine wheel and Freemont Astronomical sights. I have explored out here 40+ years and still find new spots(the route I want to take to 3 corners is one of those)

For those of you with longer fuel range, I can point you to some awesome Fremont Indian sights. Your range should be in the 140 mile area for Jensen to Maybell.

If your significant other wants to come along and does not want to ride the distance and is willing to drive a sag wagon, that is always welcome.

Hauling the bike(s) to Craig? Plenty of room at my place.

I will update this post as people sign up and with any other news.

Teams--we try to break up into groups of 5-10. This keeps the dust down.

Norm - same thing here, busier than a 9-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, and project schedules are a moving target this far out.

but - I love the 'keep it simple' part.... :clap

This will motivate me to put some good offroad tires on the Super Tenere

Not enough room for tools in the van. But I am going to be spending lots of time in Wyoming so my shop in Craig will be less used. It could use some nice storage. If things open up in your schedule join us!

I put in my bid for May Schedule already, so can't change that. We'll see what I get, and if I have that time off.
