Anyone interested in doing a short loop New Year's day locally? I was thinking of meeting at Noon in Broadway or Timberville and doing a 50-80 mile loop through the Shenandoah Valley. If interested send me an e-mail at lehmanmike@hotmail.com or respond to this thread. The meeting point if there are no objections is a Shell station on route 259 as you leave Broadway and head towards WV.

I'm thinking about Saturday. Probably no farther than Rte 56 over to Vesuvius and up or down the East side of the valley before heading back to Powhatan. That's usually a 300-350 mile loop. Short days restrict the miles:ricky :ricky :ricky

PS: If I can get somebody down here interested I might be talked into New Years Day.

I can only ride New Year's day since I am extremely busy at work and will be working another 6-7 days straight after the holiday. When the temps climb I am definately down for 300 mile days.

I'm 95% sure Warren will be joining us. He was just discussing which bike he should take:lol3:eek1

See you there at 12:00 or so. I will bring a thermos again.

As I only own one the choice for me is easy. I have a dream lineup of motorcycles but alas I may never realize the dream :lol3 .

Multistrada (already own it) with hard bags and a few other mods.
Ducati Monster, not really picky just has to be fuel injected.
200-250cc street legal dirt bike, brand unimportant.
Large cruiser for 2-up touring. Nothing like a big bike with a long wheelbase to cruise with a passenger.

    See you tomorrow.

It was a good ride out to meet you in Broadway other than the fact my foot slipped in the parking lot and I laid the Multi over on the right side. :cry I am not sure if I had something on the bottom of the boot or my boot just slipped on the metal cover in the parking lot. I checked the bike over when I got home and the only damage I found was the rear brake lever being bent in that you spotted at the Shell station and the bar end. I am going to take it to the dealer to have them try and bend it out and have them check it over, maybe time to buy some frame sliders. The road I showed you is a top notch gravel road that cuts through public and private land and will take you all the way to Lake Laura via dirt roads or out to Orkney Springs. I enjoyed our short ride and once I get the Multi back into shape we can do more of a ride. Hopefully that Michelin Pilot Race tire will still have some life in it when we ride again, man that thing is velcro on pavement.

Ya that was fun. Enjoyable road and a nice but chilly ride home.

Thanks for the road suggestion, I can't wait to TDubb it up. Looking at it on Google right now...

Good luck getting your brake fixed.

Looks like Supin Lick Ridge would be a pretty ride. Is this paved?
