The rookie Sonny Gray will win yet again and become a legend in the Oakland A's history.

Yeah, that went about as well as I expected. :lol3

We have no hitters in the entire lineup. Its a wonder they score at all sometimes.

:D Papi...we still love him. Even if he is gettinig old and still hard to understand.

Sorry the cop was not concerned about your player. He must be a collector, not a protector. At least the bullpen guys attended to him quickly. Glad he was ok.

This could be a pretty exciting series by the time it is over....about the 7th I was thinking that it was going to go all Tigers. Glad I hung in there. Impressive sports day in Boston. And the Bruins won the night before......

Their pitchers do seem to have a good handle on things, against some pretty good hitters. Red Sox are going to have to get something consistent going and not rely on the lucky shot to beat them.

Hope they can keep this up. Would be nice to hit Beantown on the upside. Of course I am watching the best team in Boston, but keeping an eye on the game over commercials and boxscore. Happy to report the B;s are doing fine too.

:huh That was against the Angels, not the Tigers IIRC. Went all 7 games and the Sox drubbed them like 8 or 9 to 1 to convincingly win a tough series. Then the disaster in NY happened........

However, having great respect for Gary Carter*, I was happy to see him get a title, even through the pain of that whole debacle for Sox fans. And nope, I do not blame one guy....they are long games and one play does not make or break it for you. You can always point to several other if's; if you want to be honest about it. He was playing when many folks would have been on the bench.....in street clothes.

Tonight's game was another good one. Detroit's pitching is very good, glad to see they have figured out how to come to terms with it without hoping for a miracle hit.

    * and another one of my favorite Expo's, Andre Dawson who we were fortunate to get to watch for a bit ourselves....he was still fast even at the end. Man that stick had whip in his hands. Did not play for the Mets though in '86. Was there in Montreal to the bitter end.

Good game last night = watched it to the Bitter end

The Closer for Boston is Great

Fielder has and continues to be a Failure at the plate during the playoffs this and last year for Detroit

Me thinks Tigers with Scherzer on the mound have a Very Good chance to take game 6 tomorrow

Doh....should have looked at your locale. I think I would have rather lost that series than the one after it. That was painful...being so close.
