I am thinking of organizing a weekend camp out for hacks anyone else that may want to venture to Citrus Wildlife Management Area.
    http://myfwc.com/viewing/recreation/...rative/citrus/

There are 3 camping areas to choose from with a ton of trails from hard pack to off camber deep rut to mud.

    Any interest??

are you talking the withlacoochee st forest? between inverness and lecanto? If so , I'm all about it! I went to school at citrus. Is there camping hookups with power and water or just primitive? :clap

Yes, part of the Withlacoochee Forest. Tillis Hill has full hook ups, I think Holder Mine does and I don't think Mutual Mine does.

Was thinking about Holder mine with a late afternoon/early nite ride to Tillis Hill and back on either the Fri or Sat night.

Also, thinking mid April or Mid to end of May, or sometime in the fall.

Then again, I may just throw a date out there and go!

throw it out there and I can most likely make it happen. I love that forest, I use to run it in trucks many years ago, and have always wanted to ride it on 2 wheels. Even if it's just a few inmates, thats cool too:freaky. I tried to come down there last month with some buddies but the sissied out for quad riding instead. early April will work and it's still cool at nite

I just checked the website, the Holder campground looks shadier and better located.

My weekends are busy until mid May or better and there doesn't seem to be much intrest in camping.

If you want to make a day of it, it'll have to be sometime in May or we can go during a week day just about anytime before that.

I live 8 miles from the forest and usually ride it once or twice a week.

If you ever wanted to get a big bike into the dirt for the first time or just love beautiful scenery, this would be the ride for you.

I can't make it any time soon, work obligations, or I would definitely join you.

If you guys don't care to slow down for an old guy, I would like to ride mid week most any time. I can truck up from St. Cloud and do a day ride. Did a multi part day ride with Ineptizoid last week in the western panhandle. I have a KLX250S. Thanks Jim

Sounds like an interesting ride! It would be most awesome to make it a camping ride, but I would have to do it in the Fall with my work schedule right now.

Is all of the riding trails or do you need a tag for the WMA roads?

Liscensed vehicles only in Citrus WMA. I can do Wed the 4th @ 0830. Meet at the Holder Camp area. We can hit the Lake Lindsey Mall for lunch.

Slow guys welcome. I'll be on my Ural, not going to be setting any land speed records by any stretch.
