I like the Cubs this year. :huh

I gotta go to Wrigley one more time before they re-model. I'm from the old school and love it like it is.

Your Cubbies have better pitching this year, it seems.

I need to get to Wrigley too. Is there a firm schedule for the re-model?

    After this season, I think.

    I'll miss Tony Campana.

We're the best team until October for 22 years.

I bet Tony Campana leads the league in stolen bases if the Diamondbacks play him.

That guy is a BLAST to watch.

Well, pitching should be fairly decent from the Ranger's this year, but they have lost a lot of offensive production. Shouldn't be a bad year, but I am not holding out for a World Series run until I see a few spring training games :1drink

Oh, apparently MLB has already charged my CC for MLB.tv. Can't watch the Rangers or Astros due to blackout restrictions, but thankfully there are a lot of other teams I enjoy watching as well.

Here's to a great season :freaky

    Heck, yea....

I don't understand how the morons figure the blackouts. But I do remember some weird issues last year with TBS / Cubs.

I'm at the bottom of the State, on the Ohio River and it's WAY closer to St Louis.

    Whatever...

Well, for me if I am in Texas then I get blacked out of Texas games. Nevermind that in El Paso you are the same distance to LA teams as you are to Houston! :eek1

Yea, you Texans have it rough.

What is it, like 5 out of the top 10 cities for job growth?

    :huh

The Astros are in the AL this year, eh?

Yeah, low taxes keep businesses moving here, among other things.

A lot of people were actually very surprised when Boeing moved to Chicago a few years ago. Their final choice was between the DFW area and Chicago. They claimed they chose Chicago based on the shorter flight times to the north east, which I get (lobbiest in DC, more flight options to Europe, etc). Seems like over time the taxes would be much greater up there though :dunno

And yes, Astros are in the same division as the Rangers now. Seems odd, but good as well. I think they are trying to create some kind of rivalry like other states have with local teams.

My poor Astros are indeed in the AL this year, but hell it can't be any worse than the last 3 years. :eek1
I'm a transplanted Texan, been living in the Memphis area for 18 years. I miss going to the 'dome. I've been back to Houston for a couple of games at Minute Maid Park but I just miss going to 20 or 30 games a year like I did back in the 80s.
It is going to be strange playing in the AL from now on........
    Good Luck guys! GO ASTROS!!!!!!!!!!!

They are now in a much stronger division. And almost got a perfect game pitched against them in the second game of the year, and got blanked two games in a row. It can get much, much worse!

Thinking of heading up to Chicago after MotoGP @ Indy to see the Nats at Wrigley. What's a good, affordable section to sit in?

Bravos are off to a 7-1 and start. :clap

Hey Cub fans, how you like those Upton brothers. :gdog

I hope we can go deep in the playoffs this year. If our bats stay hot, we should have a chance.
