I need to replace my front fender...it's gone.

I am the second owner and know that there was some issues with the stock fender. I've googled a couple of times, but haven't really come up with anything.

Can someone provide me a link for a regular plain jane easy install front fender?

Order up an Acerbis universal supermoto fender. It's only about $30, and installs in about 15 minutes. Looks nicer than the stocker, too.

    Can I get aftermarket plastics?
Companies don't make aftermarket parts for the KLR like they do for dirt bikes. Acerbis front fenders for 1999-2002 KTMs will fit if you enlarge the holes laterally with a file. You will also want to add fender washers to the mounting bolts, as the holes are large to begin with and the stock washers will have minimal contact with the plastic. Acerbis part numbers for the KTM fenders are 15830805, Black; 15830884, KTM Orange; 15830881, Silver. Price is roughly $23. There are also aftermarket mini-fairings with built-in headlights that can be swapped for the stock fairing.

Not to be a thread killer, but the stock fender on my '03 KLR seems to work just fine for my riding style/conditions.

I ride year-round, rain, cold, hot, etc., speeds ranging from 25mph in town to 70 on Interstate (rarely go over 60, though and avoid Interstate like the plague!). My front fender does the job well, keeps most of the rain/debris off of me, no problemos.

Why does everyone look for a different fender???

I did as Hondo did for a replacement and found a significant improvement in handling in highway riding.

Avoid the supermoto fenders unless you never go off-road. Less protection.

Ordered the Tecnik and also a Trail Tech Vapor speedo.

I busted up my front end pretty good.

I have a unsmashed fairing, but I'm really tired of the KLR look. Anyone have a cool windscreen.

Kawasaki replacement parts are generally expensive. I've never had the stock fender, so I can't attest to the speed wobble thing.
