Thanks everyone for the interest. I am in the process of ordering in all the needed supplies, and then sewing up another bath. Sorry, it's been summer & I've been riding a lot & not much time has been devoted to handle making. But rest assured I will keep you updated on their progress. I'm looking for these for my BMW GSA cases. Have you tried that out for size?

I'd be in for 2 sets to Canada if so.

Hi, the only straps I have made are for the Trax style boxes. Not sure if they could be made to fit the GSA boxes. The handles loop are 12" wide, as that is the distance on the Trax box for the silver lashing points.

You might just have a whole new market.


The F800GS and 1200 GSA lids are the same.

The strap attachment point is 1 3/4" wide.

The width between the attach points is 10 1/2"

The lengthwise distance, centre to centre is 9 1/2" or 11 1/2" is the total outside length.

Make sense?

The trax box that I have modeled them after, the attachment points are 12" apart on both the 37L & 45L box. The length of the strap material that holds the handle can be made any length. The little red lines I sew in wouldn't be necessary on any other box cause it only line up with the trax boxes.

The straps seem like the could work on the BMW cases but no one has tried as of yet. It's a shame it's winter time cause we could try on someone's boxes if I ever met up with anyone.

Here is my 45L trax box with a 12" ruler.

In my opinion, these would work on the BMW cases if you don't mind the straps being narrow looking. The BMW straps are 1 1/2" wide.

If you have just one strap available, PM me the details and I'll post my results when I get it. I'm pretty sure the strap would be good for the topcase which has 1 3/8" attachment points.

what i really could use are some pics of this pannier lid & some measurements so i know what i'm working with. the straps can be order in 1.5" webbing if that would fit better. take some pics of the panniers with a ruler for length, width, width of lashing points, etc.

i dont want pics of your girth. TMI
