I only own 4 now, guess I should clarify that in my signature! Low Rider, CB1100, Triumph Scrambler and Road King, My wife has a Harley 72, we fit all bikes and her car in, my truck has to sit outside
Looks like the National Cycle Deflector will fit my Triumph Scrambler as well, does it work? Do you recommend it?
I don't have much experience with windshields but the Deflector seems to work fine for me. It blocks the wind on my chest so I don't feel like I'm being blown off the bike at high speeds, but my helmet is in the wind. I have not tried varying the angles yet. I think it is the perfect size for my bike and I like the way it looks. It only attaches to the handlebars with two clamps, so when I hit bumps in the road it bounces. But it is stable in the wind. For the price I would recommend it.
Are there any CB1100 owners near central Virginia that would like to go for a ride with me and swap bikes (R1200GS) for an hour or so when it warms up in a couple of months? I still am head over heels in lust with this CB, but am very reluctant to drop 11K on a bike I have never ridden. I am willing to toss in some $$$, top off your fuel tank and treat you to lunch/dinner in exchange for your kindness. No rush...
By the time weather breaks it'll be long gone but there's a brand new 2014 standard in black (4 into one) for $8,000 locally. Snag it before it's gone and if you decide you don't like it you could sell it for very little of a loss.
I understand. I've seen red but did Honda even bring white ones to the US? It definitely should match your truck if at all possible.
$8,000 is good but I found several NEW under $7,000 Best deal I have ever found is this one at $6,000 NEW! :eek1 http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2013-Honda-CB1100-111925862
Must be a 2013 demo (ad says 1866 miles and $300 freight & setup). Still, not a bad deal at all, and maybe that dealer actually has test rides available!
I couldn't get a buyer for my 1000mile 2013 ABS model with OEM luggage rack and aftermarket bikini fairing at 7500. Probably a sign that I should just keep it. It's just too nice of a bike to give away. Kevin Honda CB1100 A Honda CTX 700 DCT
FYI, Honda is offering $1000 Bonus Bucks (it's NOT a cash rebate, it's "in store" credit for farkles, clothing, etc) on the CB1100 from now until 03/31/2015 http://eshopping.honda.com/popNCert..._0862.asp&ModelNumber=CB1100SAE&oMode=details
Why are the exhaust pipes from the head back a darker color , instead of the showroom chrome?. Do these bikes run that hot or did Honda only use single wall design ?.
single wall stailess steel turns color. I had mine ceramic coated in and out a sterling silver. Never changes and cools off much faster.
Typically, Honda Bonus Bucks are a reduction in the price of the bike, in this case $1,000. Rarely are they for farkles and clothing, but it does happen. However, this appears to be the former...a price reduction. I'll look when I get to work on Saturday, and post a correction if I am mistaken.
