There's a Beaver Dam Rd here, in Watauga county, too. It turns into Bulldog Rd at the NC/TN state line. Nice road for bikes. If you like em' really twisty you can take George's Gap Rd to/from Beaver Dam.

Took the long way home over Big Laural (I spare you the pics - posted plenty of that area before) - all but one:

I was almost home, when I remembered that Furtledurt mentioned new pavement on Flag Pond Road . So it turned left into TN instead of right

I believe I rode that new pavement this past Saturday. To & from Hot Springs. Had a blast.

a little bit earlier I talked to a local guy about all kinds of hiking trails and back-roads in the area. There is one trial I'd like to do, and apparently this road leads get me closest to the trail...



found the parking area - and a few more gravel roads. It's raining, I only have about 1.5 hours of daylight left and I have no idea where this road goes.
