How about a thread dedicated to "Clouds" .... with or without bikes .. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
This Lenticular Cloud was moving fast! You can even see what appears to be a vapor trail in back of it.... I was on 395 on the Eastern side of the Sierras and saw this approaching fast from the East. It must have hit some turbulent air with the wall of the Sierras ahead, because 2 minutes after I took this shot, the cloud has dissipated. I was excited to get this photo as Lenticular clouds are pretty rare...and this one was moving fast and looked just like some kinda spaceship.
Had to pull over and take a shot of these clouds... It was like something out of "close encounters..." eerie lookin...

Just finished with a massive storm cell around dusk... it dropped dime sized hail a bunch of it and a lot of rain but some of the coolest clouds I've seen my camera-phone doesn't do it justice: This was from a recent trip for an interview. Round trip around 550 miles. But this was on the way to the interview where I stopped put another shirt on and then put my rain cover on my tank-bag. Oh ya there was 50mph cross winds that day (not cool):
