i've never had a problem with my lobster claws. but in heavy rain i do extend my jacket sleeves OVER them to stop water from running down and collecting in the l.c.'s. these days i do carry a back up of the "rain offs" but still reach for the l.c.'s both are rain resistant..all the rest come up short..!

I my opinion I don't care what kind of gloves or over gloves you have, your hands will eventually get wet (when you stop to get gas or water running up your sleeve and down your wrist, etc.) so it is just a matter of slowing down the process of getting wet . My choice has been the Aerostich lobster claws over GoreTex lined non-leather gloves, do my hands get wet? Yes, eventually, but with this setup I have been good for 10-12 hour rides in hard rain.
