My '05 RS has some Wintersport 3D's on there, and yeah, it's an animal in the snow. Even lowered I think I've been through over 15" of snow with no problems. I know when I met ya, you were looking at one, glad to see you decided to get one Frank, awesome cars.

I'm a little new to Subaru's, just got my '04 in September. Playing in the pine barren sand and the experience of two snow storms, I must say this is one stellar vehicle. With the one exception of huge ground clearance I like the Subaru better then almost every 4x4 Ive owned.

Since we have a lot of Subaru drivers here, maybe one of you can explain:

Why do so many Subaru drivers stay in the left lane on the highway and refuse to yield to overtaking vehicles?:D

You Subie folks should put together a drive. There's enough bad (but not too difficult) off the beaten track legal roads in the area to put something together that would be pretty entertaining. Or is it all just talk? :ear

Yep...and I wish I never sold it. I had put 128k miles on in three years. Needed a clutch and timing belt..$2000...not cheap cars. Damn three piece flywheel. Non STi...but still had put227 HP....pretty fast with great reliability. Brakes were scary over 120....tried to keep it under three digits.
Wish I had it now with all this snow.

When I first moved down here to the PB's, I took a buddy...a Nascar guy...out drifting the suby on the dirt/sand roads. I think he almost Shit himself. :D

If I won the lottery, I'd buy another in a heartbeat. BUT...With one child here and another on the way....if I can ever buy another new vehicle.....it will be a full size Ford pick up with family&friends discount. :)

holy crap 227HP, 120MPH.... damn I guess we have had different Suby experiences. I've nick named mine the SLOW-BURU. Its the basic 2.5 auto, non turbo. My F150 cost way too much too commute with if I dont need too many tools. I can get most anything in my Forester, ladders on the roofracks and all. Cant complain about 25-27 avg mpg. No rush but it'll go anywhere.
Kinda funny how Subaru can have the Sports car guys, the Rally car guys, the off-road 4x4 guys, the soccer mom or the avg commuter driving the same cars.., yet everyone loves them.
