I thought mega sports programs were supposed to be a revenue generator in the SEC and with the other semi-pro teams?

Most of the SEC schools are tens of millions in the black every year. Tenn has worked themselves into quite a pickle.

Can never discount the stupidity of powerful boosters and their retarded expectations. Keep firing coaches every couple years and before you know it you're paying 3 or 4 high dollar salaries to guys that are at home sitting on their asses. :lol3

Rivals has Auburn ranked 8th with 2 five stars, 9 four stars and 12 three star commits. That's not shabby considering the turmoil there. Between that and the junior college players, Auburn will be improved next year. In fact, I'll predict a final ranking in the top 15.

I'm glad that Alex Collins wasn't up for Auburn. His mom grabbed his letter of intent and ran off with it.

Last year, it was Landon Collins' mom who stole the show when she openly showed her disgust when her son committed to Alabama over LSU.

Not to be outdone, Andrea McDonald became a household name in recruiting circles Wednesday when her son, Alex Collins, who committed to Arkansas on Monday, attempted to sign his letter of intent in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Media outlets, including ESPN.com, report McDonald left the signing without giving her signature. In fact, ESPN reported earlier Wednesday that she "confiscated" the letter and left the school.

"She said she didn't want to sign,'' Collins' older brother Johnny, 20, told The Miami Herald by phone. "I know she preferred him to go to UM. Alex had said he was going to the U, and then all of a sudden he changes his mind. We found out he was going to Arkansas on TV.''

"The [Collins] family is not on the same page," South Plantation athletic director Mike Collins, no relation to the student-athlete, told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Collins tells NBC 6 South Florida he still plans to sign with Arkansas on Thursday.

Isn't Meyers Tressle penance up this year? It won't be long before there is a new sheriff at the BNC.

They'll be hyped this pre-season. Probably #1 by the end of the summer if it's not 'Bama. But it's still the SEC's game until someone actually beats an SEC team in the championship.

I don't expect them to pull a USC this year, but they will have a bit of a target on them.

Uhhh, wasn't he the one who went 25-1? 2 in three. I think he knows how to get a team prepared.
