Riding Around the Hood

Susi and I rode up to the South Climb trailhead of Mt Adams and went for a stroll uphill.

Oh yeah, and we plan to ride on Sunday, as posted on the 'PDX Off Pavement Ride' thread. Meet at Bennett Pass snowpark (at bottom of Mt Hood Meadows access road) at 10:30 am. We are trailering our little bikes there.

Swellegent!! It sure is nice to get back to a compfy bed, although, i lived in my tent for 6 months 23 years ago (hitching the USA) & could'nt get used to a bed again...just a sheepskin on the floor was good.

The two little cubs were in the road ahead of me, and they scurried off.
They stopped only about 50 feet away, and stood up on hind legs,...

Yesterday, I saw another good looking, very black, very furry one, closer to Detroit.
But he/she was up the hill & gone before I got my finger on the button.

Someone is riding around the good alright. In the XR250 they stole from me!! Be on the look out for a camo (if they removed camo it's got a red tank, white fenders ). Stolen from tucker and Portland dr. Has a WA plate with no blinkers, tiny homemade mirrors and black fork socks with metal disc cover.

BASTARDS! Here's hoping karma sends them a flesh eating bacteria infection on their junk.

Momma wasn't too excited, so I watched her until she disappeared in the brush, then I suddenly felt like the outsider, hit that button...
... and left them to THEIR forest.

Very cool young man! I stopped to watch some cubs run across the road up in Canada, then wondered where mum was & decided to move on.

Hoping everyone will keep an eye out for an XR250 that was stolen from me. This was a hit that Marti and I really cant afford. Should you see anything like this bike please contact me anytime for a vin number to compare. If the green has been removed the bike will be red and white. There are a couple of things that I dont want to list here that will give it away immediately as well.

I had an '82 XR 500 stolen in NZ, it had just gone through a total rebuild, forks & swing arm etc were painted white..never did see it again, good bye $2K!

A few of met at Bennett Pass for a day of hot and dusty. We didn't end up riding Bennett Pass as we took a wrong turn ... and then decided to ride toward Clear Lake, catching some trails I had tracked from Black Dog earlier in the summer.
