    Well it is a Ponderosa forest [4-5K elevation?]...seriously there are perhaps a 100 sites like this in the WWNF.. complete with mud and water..

    It will be interesting to hear where this campsite actually was...

    Not Wallowa-Whitman, Ochoco or Aldrich Mountain (Aldrich is close). This spot is farther south. In fact, this particular campsite may no longer exist after this summers fires.

    Right forest wrong road. The Silvies headwaters are farther east, southeast.
