Aren't we splitting hairs here? In many markets, Suzuki sells a Suzuki-branded bash plate (and other accessories) and even a complete model with the accessories pre-installed. Yes, Suzuki may be rebranding a standard accessory you can buy directly from the accessory mfg, but that's true of many options. It's available direct from Suzuki, it has a Suzuki part number, and it is covered by Suzuki warranties. This makes it a Suzuki part in my book.

I think he is confusing that little bit of trim plastic under the engine with a bash plate.

Some may notice the absence of front indicators. I think the orange triangular stickers are where they're likely to be mounted, unless they're in the headlight cluster.

    Not needed :-)

It just makes the finaldrive extra heavy, if you ever ride a GS on corrogated backroads, you'll experience traction loss and chattering backwheel.

Since the XS750/1100 yamaha uses a porsche patented drive, recognisable by the lower placed pignon, which eliminates lever reaction almost completely whitoit te use of reaction struts and extra linkage.
The twosided swingarm is also less worries, the GS likes to spill its ball and race on the wheelside...

Oh and to all complaining at the weight, look at what a XTZ eighs, and than go and drive one, you'll experience the Yamaha Weight Wizardry, it feels much lighter than it looks on paper, a 660 is 216 topped up with all fluids...

I'd say top corner of each headlight, could be wrong but they look like indicators to me.

If you look at full options picture few pages back - indicators mounted above blue plastic part, actually above those triangles.

All my photos were taken at the Istanbul bike show yesterday, they wouldn't remove the boxes and wouldn't allow anyone to sit on the bike. Great PR there from Yamaha.

They also wouldn't allow me to photograph the Russian model in camel-toe shorts, at least not close up and with the poses I requested.

Ah yes, on the show bike the indicators had obviously been removed. or stolen.

I noticed that on list of options there is optional LED indicators "to replace standard indicators"
Hm. I think they should've spent time used to design indicators to design crash bars to be extended to the sides of tank in top part, like typical aftermarked bars for pig-sized adv bikes (varadero, 990, transalp etc.)
But I am sure aftermarket will pick up on that.

The tank capacity seems a little small at 22 litres.
