REGISTRATION FOR RTB V IS NOW OPEN!!!!

    GO HERE TO REGISTER:
    rollthebonesrally.com

It WILL HAPPEN October 24-26 at Uncle Gus's Marina, Cabins, and campground on Lake Whitney. I am currently working with shirt vendor to set pricing so I can have registration and tshirt orders at the SAME time on one screen when you register.
I hope to have the Website ready to take registration and shirt orders by next week. As those that attended last year learned, we provided meals Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday dinner, and Sunday morning. Hospitality was also provided Friday night and Saturday night. I hope I can convince Kaiser to help me brew some more ale:freaky There are 31 cabins and plenty of RV spots. Tent camping is included in the registration. There are two restroom/shower buildings on the premis near the 2 swimming pools so women can have their own separate restroom facilities. The route masters are hard at work for new routes. We are getting good rain so it is changing the roads up for us. Ulybrad of IXL Riding School will be hosting a riding class this year again for those interested in polishing their skill sets for out more challenging routes. I am also planning a special challenge for those who like a challenge of their riding skills and navigation abilities. I will be in charge of food again so we do not have to contend with outside caterers. Again we will have a raffle benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. Feel free to donate items to the raffle. THOSE FUNDS ARE STRICTLY GIVEN TO WWP! I will donate the any extra funds from registration to WWP! Remember this is YOUR ADV rally, I created RTB for ADV Riders in Texas...I serve you...and remember RTB Cares!

Roll the Bones Ghost’s Challenge Event
Riders choosing to participate in this event do so at their own peril. This will be the first of a possible annual technical challenge event at RTB. It is NOT a RACE! It is a challenge inspired for those who seek more. I am hand picking some of the most treacherous country for this route including single track. Big bikes may be capable in the right hands. Some of this route will be on private property and those Owners will not be liable for injuries sustained in this event. Separate Emergency response will be coordinated in the more dangerous areas. Team riders will be the preferred format and each rider of the team will get a prize. GPS will be required to compete in this event. Token objects will be hid along the route with GPS grid Coordinates and clues to find the objects. The team that finds the most tokens will be the winner of the event. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, any team that helps another team along the route may be awarded a token by Ghost based on merit of the assist. Furthermore, anyone that tries to cheat and or sabotage other riders will be disqualified. We are all brother/sister riders!
Riders should have the ability to fix flats and minor mishaps on their own. Prep your bike accordingly. Negligence that results in a team having to call for extract will cost them token(s). Do your maintenance before you start this trip. Route has not been finalized but will be around 250 miles! Fuel will be close along the way for smaller tanks. There is no Extra cost for this event, but I will have deviations for each route so all TEAMS MUST PRE REGISTER WITH ME!!! To register send me an email to ghostrider1964@yahoo.com stating who your team is and what bikes you will be on. The basic route will be close but each team’s tokens will be different and have different locations.

    Teams:
    1) Los Lonely Boys(Hail&Badabing)
    2) DepthFinder & Maxpacker
    3) JBA797 team mate?
    4) JMtex &Jordan KLR
    5) "Think I can" Lumberjack & Tossinglead
    6) Jeff and Rman

To all those wanting to run The Ghost's Ebola Challenge, I am throwing the team requirement out. Too many Folks want ride solo! You may still ride with your buddies. I finished the technical portion of the Challenge. IT will be VERRY Technical! You can score 60 points along the Public Road section. Another 40 points are at Ghost Rancho. Over all length was shortened to allow for more time in technical area. Total route length is just over 200 miles. The person with the most points will be the Champion. I strongly encourage riding in groups for support. Make sure you have basic tools and flat tire repair kit. You should carry water since the temps are looking to be right at 90! I have included HasBeen Hill in the Technical portion. IT IS tough with short approach and rock ledges. I only managed to get my HP2 up it twice. There is another section with sharp drops through big rocks that will be tough. There are work arounds for all of this Knobbies will rule in this ride!

Slogan is still up in the air. Early entries are the ever popular :

Hurry before we fuck this up!

    or

Hey. What's the worst that could happen?

    or

If you expect the trains to run on time, you have picked the wrong fuckin' rally.

Hope he doesn't have satellite. It'll last about 2 minutes before the data limit is reached.

Remember them. Today and everyday .

We raise a little money. That was the Raffle check. We raised a bit more from Rod and Savage.

Raising money is what we do for them for what they did for us.

Start thinking now about how you can do more. We need significant donated Raffle items every year. Put the effort into making it happen. Be creative. You know somebody. Message TXJames or me.

Remember. 100% of the Raffle proceeds go straight through to WWP. Not one cent goes to costs. RTB and it's patrons and Raffle sponsors have upped the bar every year. We want this thing to blow up big this year and we need your help.

Now. Separate from that, the Rally needs volunteer help at Rally Time and help scouting donations and sponsors for the Rally itself. It is a helluva undertaking and I don't do shit. Let Dody know if you are willing to help. Cooking is a monster undertaking. Registration is a nightmare beyond description. I know those 2 areas need volunteers.

Yeah, I need folks on little bikes willing to risk life, limb, and freedom finding out just how public some areas are.
