I might try that, though it appears it makes it harder to remove individual pieces. Like, when I get up in the morning and want to put on a clean shirt.

It is more difficult unless you want to unpack your junk.
It's a system designed to reduce creases and wrinkles.
My GF still has a similar system of bags, but it's one she rarely uses.
This plays off the old Navy method of wrapping and rolling everything together, and stuffing in duffle bags.

    It doesn't work for moi.

I've found that when using hard luggage, find something to use as a bag liner even if one is not commercially available.

I use Eagle Creek Pack-It organizers (Mud Box as the liner and diff sized 'cubes' for stuff) in my ammo cans, and it makes it simple to pull the bag out, lay it on the back seat, and get to what I need without digging through everything I own - even on the side of the road.

I compartmentalize everything based on use, so that I don't have to dig through street clothes to get to riding clothes and vice versa.

I was hoping it was going to be about self de-pressurizing "space bags"...
