Now that is nice. Putting the sport back in Sportster, getting back to what they were originally built for: tearing up the countryside while making big noise. Yay!
Had the pleasure of riding with my son on Sunday. His mate was kind enough to loan him his Fatbob so i could ride my sons Vrod. We had a great day. Only have these few pics, spent plenty of time in the saddle. I really enjoyed the Vrod, found it extremly comfortable to ride all day(note to self, must remember ear plugs). I am lucky it lives in my garage and i get to ride it whenever i want.
I have a night rod special, & I have to say I enjoy every second riding this bike. Your Son has a very good taste
Got a bit of work done recently - changed my exhaust to V&H Shortshots and chopped the rear end. Now working on attaching a sidecar - if you look closely you can see the two upper mounts.
Lighting and conditions worked out, along with some HDR imaging techniques. What the pic doesn't reveal is it was a coooold ride that day. Those clouds kept the solar rays away from warming my bones. Oh, and on the way a bird of prey swooped down from some nearby rocks with some prey, and unnerved by my closing speed, dropped the prey on the road right in front of me. :eek1
Jimmy that is the best sportster I have ever seen, absolutely awesome well done! Do you get it off road much? If so what's your verdict? cheers flashman
Not the best pic, 104" S&S shovel head stroker, hard tail. Daytech frame Sputh tranny. Bar hopper if there ever was. Hope this pic works, Its the 1st one I have done via photo bucket. Bike is a monster, I get a kick out of drag racing sport bikes. Not a harley part on it really.
Dire sorry for the slow response. The bike was originally built by the Patrick bros in Texas. Motor has been since cleaned up and head work done. Me and the old man picked it up for a song and a dance from a kid thats grandpa bought for him. Didn't want his son on a sportbikes. Originally had a kick start and they couldn't get it started. I think it's worth 5 grand lol. They put and electric start on it and they still just didn't have a clue about what they bought. Hes on a Honda fury now ! Perfect !!!!! The bike really moves but handles like a back hoe !
