G'day guys, is it too early to get the ball rolling on this one for this year :freaky? ATGreg usually kicks it off and I don't want to steal his thunder but need to arrange the weekend off asap. Maybe something has been tee'd up already by the Riverina blokes. Likely spots (Delegate 09 & 11, Jingellic '10) and dates (Early May seems to be the tradition)? How do you feel about slinging it between Delegate and Jingellic on alternate years, making it more flexible entirely or just springing with Delegate again?

If we are alternating then it should be Jingellic, but it's a better dirt ride from Sydney to Delegate, I'm happy to go to either.
Last time we went to Jingellic was to tie up with the cancer ride Bruce may be able to update if either would work again with the charity ride.

There's no question both are great spots with varying routes in to top locations. I think the Cancer Council run will be passing thru the area a lot earlier than in previous years. Obviously Delegate is slightly closer for our Northern brothers but Jin a bit easier for Mexicans. So I guess the question to the collective is: should we alternate between them each year? A reasonable "tradition" of sorts to begin. If it's in May, it also makes it roughly six months apart from that other SA/Vic/NSW ADV institution, the Pooncarie run over Melbourne Cup weekend.
    Whaddya reckon?

As for what Dakar said :clap

Alternate between them each year. Both have a good mix of riding to get there.

As was mentioned earlier, Jingellic has great camping facilities and room for everyone.

Delegate river tavern was still closed a few weeks ago.
I'll be coming back that way from Phillip Island I will check if it has reopened.
It's been closed for a long time, I bumped into the owner at the Delegate hotel a few months ago and he did not say he was planing to reopen it :dunno
