I sat on a Tiger 800 with the tall seat at the long beach show and I actually fit! and im 6'9"! I can't wait to see how I fit on the Tiger 800XC as thats the one I am really interested in for my offroad trips.

Some days I pack the camera knowing I may not even pull it out.
I had to go visit a friend in hospital Sunday and seized the opportunity to jump on for a ride.

I'm not sure if it's a universal coincidence that the designated MC parking is right outside the ER :lol3

It's been kind of hectic busy here and any rides I've been able to sneak in have been short.
    Always worthwhile, but short.
    AND COLD.
    This day was perfect.
Perfect weather, Perfect time in to the city.
And perfect that my friend who was terrified she wouldn't wake up from surgery was upright and smiling.
    yay morphine!
And this picture symbolizes all of that for me.
And it was the only one I took that day….

I've been visiting my mother in hospital, here in Christchurch NZ, and, :eek2 , your observation is spookily accurate. Right across from the entrance...
And thanks again, TDP, for your pics and commentary - they are great stuff.

Peach, your last pic of the GG Bridge reminded me of 9-11 Twin Towers with the jet plane (down in the LH corner of pic ) headed towards the towers of the bridge. Awsome and then some. "Lest we forget" rj

    Klr ...................................About..... $5000.00

Less cost = less time @ work = more time to ride. :evil

    Just one point of view.....

As always... a joy to read!.. THANKS!

At the moment there's nothing out there that I'd surrender My Tiger for.

    Happy Valentines Day!
From the look of your recent pictures, you've certainly had better weather for riding than we do here!! Oh well, some of my riding gear is in for repairs, so at least the pouring rain keeps me from riding non-ATGATT...
    Cheers.

You are right, Tiger is one of the best bikes that I ever rode. I love my Tiger.
Thanks for great pictures and reports.

    :D

It's a bit of a ballet dance with the clutch and the throttle in some of the deeper turns to work with the mushy stock suspension at times, but it's what keeps this bike so dear to me.. TOTALLY predictable.
    So much fun to ride!

Yep you said it DP, The Tiger 1050 is like a reliable friend....Always there for ya. I love my Tiger1050. I just put gas in it and change the oil....Also, I put in the Ohlin rear suspension that Triumph now sells and its like a totally new bike. The soft mushy ride (good for long distance cruising) is gone. Its a total canyon ripper now!

    I just lurrrv dat BIKE!
