I don't consider myself an adventure rider...but I MET some adventure riders along the way. The video log is in six parts, as broadcast on SPEED, who were nice enough to let me take the time off to do this. Bottom line - 7,448 virtually trouble-free miles on an '04 KLR.

Awesome trip Jerry Atrick, I kept up with it on the Tunnel for my weekly fix. Great choice on heading to the Arctic Circle, if you are that close you have to go.

    Cool Report Jerry.
I'm amazed that a Big Wheel like Dave would ride an 04 KLR!
I am, also amazed that a SPEED Channel Wind Tunnel Star would not ride the Faster Color Army Green KLR. :lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3

    Thanks for the report.

Long story short, I was planning a solo ride to Cabo when my '96 R1100GS lost the "legendary reliability" plot. So I bought the KLR used with 28k miles. It made the Baja trip fine (and has since made another) and I've basically fallen in love with that motorcycle. If I could only have one bike, I think that would be it.

I have MBS but my 03 KLR will be the last bike in the shed, if I ever have to get rid of them. I just fits!:D

Very nicely done! :clap All the videos were great!

I feel the same about my KLR. Owned her for six years and if she don't mess up in the next couple years, I might just keep her! :D

Mr., ahem... Atrick, I seem to remember you used to ride a big Tiger. Still got it? Ride it much?

Great report Jerry. If you want to tackle the Arctic again, I'm in Illinois, heading to Prudhoe in mid-June next year. Your welcome to ride along.

Cool vids. This just inspired me to consider riding my KLR for my two weeks vacation next month rather than the Bandit. Only going to do about 5000 miles, so no massive adventure as yours, only a long trip to buy beer. I can carry more beer with the KLR.:freaky

No Tiger...had a Sprint ST for a while but had to give it back. GREAT bike! I'm continually impressed with what Bloor has done with Triumph.
