Hello great nation of adventure motorcyclists,

As my plans for my 4 month trip are coming together I think it is about time I stop lurking and share some of it with you inmates. Starting at the end of august I am leaving Amsterdam, Holland and heading through Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, France, Belgium and back home.
    Something like this:

The Russia/Georgia border crossing is still uncertain but we will see how that goes the coming months.
As I really have no ties or places to be at certain moments other then being back home mid December the route is subjected to change.
My Girlfriend will probably join me for a few weeks somewhere along Turkey
Some of the prep stuff I already put on my websitehttp://www.wolsly.com as the website is part of this prep it is still a “work in progress” since I have no experience with blogging/website building whatsoever.
I am hoping for some input from you guys for “must see's”, places to stay and maybe meet up some of you somewhere along the way.
Be save and lets have a few :beer

    Cheers

Yesterday as my shift ends and my colleague for the next shift and I have a coffee before I leave he tells me about his brother planning a trip to Greece and filming it all.
What about that Mr Cathalina.... I know Holland isn’t big but hey isn’t this coincidence or what?????:rofl.

I own a 2002 R1150GS which will hopefully bring me all the way :clap.
Great job on your website by the way.

Hahaha that's extraordinary :rofl I believe he sent me a pic of your bike some time ago... dark grey, is it not? Are you going to change panniers or just leave the plastic ones on? I'm doing a small trip to Friesland tomorrow, and just now I'm noticing that extra luggagespace is something really worth having :D

If you want, we could ride together some time and exchange experiences :thumb thanks for the compliment too!

Pinksteren sounds fine. It'll be one day before my Alp is scheduled for its regular maintenance. It might be nice to have the bike desperately need it for a change :D

Been busy with visa applications, hyperpro springs, websites and oh yes my employer still wants me to do stuff and things.

It seems that the border-crossing from Russia to Georgia is a go.:clap

Done a bit of this on the bike:

The new fancy purple hyperpro hiding in the back.

I guess "hemelvaart" is a bit out of the picture for the ADV cheesehead meet?? How about Saturday 7 or Sunday 8 of July?

I've visted the Belgian festival of Graspop numerous times, they share most of the line-up with Hellfest.

Keep up the good work :thumb

And I also received some Russian paperwork :D With everything signed I sent it out to a visa agency, fingers crossed........

The website is done, I got rid off the last little bugs.
We bought a plane ticket for my girlfriend to come over and join me for two weeks in Georgia and Armenia in October.

The festival, last week, was great but due to time limitations we did not go by bike and I forgot my camera so no pictures... sorry

Thanks I will hold you on that invite.
It will take me about 10 to 15 days to get to Lviv if all goes well. So it should be around the 12 to 17th of September.
Once I am on the road and have a better view on the dates, I will keep you posted.
