How to test a stator???

My Burg 570 is giving me a single spark at turn over, then nothing from the plug wire. I've pulled off the cap at this point to eliminate it from the equation. It will not spark again till I shut the ignition off/on and spin it again, where it shoots a single spark once again.

I've replaced the coil pick up on the advive of the dealer who had similar symptoms on a few F.I. KTMs but no difference. Next suspect I'm told is the stator itself. I have a multimeter but no idea what to check here.

Thanks for any advice. Bike has about 1000 miles on it. Started having starting troubles and devolved to this stage.

Should not have continuity to ground on either of the stator leads.

There should be continuity between the stator leads.

Is there any kind of ignition box??

As stated, PLUS there is a resistance value for the stator circuits, listed in your factory shop manual.

Thanks guys, any clue where to look next? I've been unplugging stuff and trying it again with the same result, single spark on first turn over and dead.
