PS - Anyone know some awesome tyres for a R100?

Chris, I would appreciate your continuing with the thread but can also understand your frustration.

I hope he comes back too, but I bet you'll get your fix sooner on Facebook/Instagram even if he does come back to update here. Typically anything he posts here has been on one or both of those sites for at least 24hrs (or more) before it gets posted here. Also, you can follow Cafe Racer TV. They've posted some teasers as well that Chris hasn't posted here.

Point is... there's other (arguably better) sources.

I did, but they stopped returning my calls.

Did you try to mount them?

Thanks for the suggestions Nick, ADV is my main internet source tho and I enjoy the simplicity of one site and the huge variety of people and information available through it. What pissed me off is the way one moran can disrupt an interesting and worthwhile thread, I've seen too many good people put off by this sort of behaviour in the past.

I'm off to give the Ducati a hug and to to seek solace in mechanical mayhem...

I for one would like to keep seeing updates on this thread... please.

For anyone who wants to know why we'd modify an old bike when it won't out perform a modern bike... the answer's simple: because we can.

To be honest; I can't but I'm plain happy screwing around with tools and greasy parts.

So I am more than happy seeing what others like OP do, it keeps me keeping my dreams alive and forgetting about the, ehm, mishaps I run into along my personal path. In short; bmweuro get your ass back in this thread and entertain the crowds! F*ck the losers who only want to jerk around, in Dutch we call them 'azijnpissers' which translates into 'vigegar pisser' I thinks that explains itself.

Boy did this thread get way out into another alternative universe,,,

I've know Chris for almost 30 years and shared more than a few of life's highs and lows over that time...he's one of the most sincere people I've known.

He helped me when I first started modifying K75s and then moved over to airheads 20 years ago...like him, I build 95% of the bikes for people who know BMWs and have experience with the brand..and want something either different or something that fits their current or future plans. 47 G/S and GSs later, I still have people asking for custom builds...just like Chris. We get to be creative and give the owners big smiles over lots of miles.

I guess talented people like Chris will always have someone in the peanut gallery who just doesn't get it...and that's OK..there are a lot more who do.

Hate to disappoint you, but you guys give honest opinions (even if a bit of comment is given from time to time, there should be room for that) so you've disqualified yourselves from that honorary title
Now, had you been beating down inmates and adding negative energy to the threads only, then I'd be handing out the tiara.
