These pop up all the time. Why not stick them all in the same place?? - I'm talking about individual threads linking to CL finds. Maybe some guidelines. 1. Location, location, location. 2. Make, model + price. *3* I really would appreciate linking to hysterical CL posts. I don't think anything makes me laugh more than when someone can't spell ["helmut" gets me every time oser], or thinks their yamaha xj650 is worth $3500 and tells you why.
I saw an ad the other day where a hispanic gentleman (or so I assumed from some of the phonetic misspelling) claimed that he had a nice running sv650 with an oil lake.....
This could devolve into a more amusing thread about fugly bikes/goofy Craigslist Ads- Look what some dipstick (or his "professional" painter) has done to a CB750- http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/1026487339.html
Here's one to make you cry, from CL Charlotte: This is a 95 Ducati 900 ss that has ben totally redone from the frame up, you will never see another bike like this Custom paint, Custom frame work, brand new tires, built motor, custom seat, Custom forward controls. This thing gets noticed. Very loud and extremely fast. No joyrides serious people only. Priced for quick sale Ill let the pictures speak for themselves, Bike is also featured on: DUCCUTTERS.COM Test Ride Available
Those last two are some of the worst looking bikes I've ever seen. They should be ashamed of themselves
This is going to be my new favorite thread. I went to duccutters.com and in reference to that bike shown, they said " If THE DEVIL RODE A BIKE, this would be his weapon of choice." oser DOUCHE BAG!
We already have such threads in the Central forum, one for serious ads and one for "finds indicating lunacy". http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380794 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=408906
For realzies: HONDA GB!!! http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/mcy/1026755687.html GUZZI ELDO! http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/mcy/1019482671.html
I'd suggest copying and pasting the ad into the message since a link is good for only so long with CL. Anyone reading this thread a month later will find only dead links and will miss the object of the joke. Or whatever...
agreed. But I'm guessing CL will stop hosting the pics once the ad is gone so all we'll see is an 'x'. Time will tell....
This posting has been flagged for removal (The title on the listings page will be removed in just a few minutes.) 1938 Indian Four for $12,500, seattle craigslist
:huh That's about the ugliest GB500 I've ever seen. Repaint sucks, seat is hideous, not the stock front fender.
Well, the exact bike that I have been looking for has popped up right in my area, unfortunately, about a month too early. I have been scheming to sell my R100/7 to get a monoshock R65 and this one is in Madison, WI. The price looks right too. Reply to: sale-1029291314@craigslist.org [?] Date: 2009-02-10, 2:34PM CST This is a 1986 model R65 with low miles and very equipped with new side cases, top travel bag, tank bag, clear fairing, custom Corbin seat, cruise control. Nice for touring and commuting! <TABLE summary="craigslist hosted images"><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle></TD><TD align=middle></TD></TR><TR><TD align=middle></TD><TD align=middle></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> If anyone wants to snag this thing, it looks like a good buy. Now, if anyone wants to ride it for about 2 months and then sell it for a modest profit...... (no, really.....do it.) Edit: Hes asking $2900, I thought it was in the ad text, but I reread and didnt see it.
