One day report&pics visiting the South slope of the Amalfi Coast.

I get there from Salerno, highway exit "Salerno Centro". For people coming from Neaples just head South on the highway "A3" and use the "Vietri sul Mare" exit.

Our first stop is the town of Vietri sul Mare. About 8000 inhabitants, famous to be a dishes and vases production site.

The traffic was terrible. Very long line of cars to get in Amalfi. Lucky that I was on the bike.

Actually is normal at this time of the year, best period is June/Sept

    Great trip. Beautiful pictures.

We spent a week in Maratea a few years ago. I guess that is in the next bay to the south. Spectacular area to visit.

Italy is beautiful! I visited the eastern part (Aviano, Ceorle, Venice, Pordenone, etc) several times when I was stationed in Germany 2000-2003. Wish I could bring my Burgman 650 over there and ride around for a month or two. Thanks for sharing the great ride!
