Received mine in the mail this week along with the tool. Looks great and will go the bike in a couple of days when I change oil.
So this happened today while I was trying to remove the axle on my '05 R1200GS. :dllama Better the tool than my bike, I guess. The last one to touch my axle was a local shop when they changed my tire 2 years ago.
Did you make sure you had the pinch bolt loose? Also, when reinstalling, make sure you use antiseize on the shaft.
