I don't think the White House is the proper office to petition - the states all set their own highway laws. The federal government doesn't really have a dog in this fight or the ability to set a federal law legalizing lane splitting.

Now, the federal government DOES provide highway funding to the states. So perhaps a better petition is to have the federal government withhold federal highway funding from all states that do not explicitly legalize lane splitting. This is how the federal government incentivized states to set their drinking ages to 21.

chicken egg? does it matter? i mean is it more condescending when you tell someone to go suck a pigeon egg compared to telling them to go suck an ostrich egg.

I forgot to mention how cute it was, that you had to look up the date I joined ADV as if somehow that matters in any way. You should have brought up post count too. Your ADV Penis is SO HUGE. I bow to your tumescence.

    :jack

So you, the self-sufficient loner, felt it necessary to announce to everyone here that you wouldn't sign the petition why exactly??

In case you didn't notice, the petition was meant to be country-wide, and would cover all those wonderful places outside NYC too.

You wanna think you're fine with taking whatever does or doesn't come your way in terms of rights and privileges, that's fine. You could just shut up and nobody would care. What did you think you were accomplishing and for whom, when you posted that you wouldn't sign?

What amazes me is that you'd rather spend all this time writing message after message defending your unwillingness to sign the petition than the thirty seconds it would have taken to just sign it.

Making anyone here think you're not a douche is also a complete exercise in futility, but you're trying anyway.

You're hilarious Rectal. You don't like what I have to say so be it, but don't think because you're the self professed spokesman for all NYC motorcyclist, you have any right to control how this thread should look.

And in a nutshell, that's what you're doing. Remember, you started this, simply because you don't seemingly believe anyone should have a differing opinion than yours.

All your other qualms here; just blather. So blather on with your childish name calling.

    (yawn.....)

I was out in the rain for about an hour today. I hit stopped traffic on the Pulaski Skyway westbound and proceeded to split for a few miles, really slow because it is narrow and everybody was almost dead stopped. A few people tried to block the center if they saw me coming, some very aggressively getting way over the dividing lane into their neighbor's lane. I always get a kick out of goading them a little bit, getting my front wheel close to their bumper, wait for them to box themselves in and then it's brake-bob-weave and I'm on their right side, where they've left enough room to get a goldwing through. Extra joy floods my heart if they honk their horn as I throttle and swerve majestically back to the middle and watch their anger grow tiny in my rearview mirror.

I wave something else when they honk or try to squeeze me out. :ken
