My wife has written and published a children's book titled Max the Motorcycle. It is available on Lulu.com: http://www.lulu.com/shop/jen-phillips/max-the-motorcycle/paperback/product-20057957.html Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Max-The-Motorcycle-Jen-Phillips/dp/1105645282/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1338324278&sr=1-2 It's a fun little book about a bike that has some adventures and then gets stored in a barn. Later, a young couple discover the bike, restore it, and ride it again. It has some really great illustrations done by a local, amateur artist.
The real Max bike is a /2...it is the bike Jen and I bought and restored. <iframe frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="425" height="240" src="https://api.smugmug.com/services/embed/1059144264_xVssr?width=425&height=240"></iframe>
Showed this to my wife (kindergarten school teacher) and she's bought a copy, which is great because I get to read it too haha.
Thanks for buying the book. My wife is really excited about it. She has had one short story published before, but this is her first real effort with a whole book, albeit a children's book. But still, it's fun for her. Authors don't really make any money, so it's more of a hobby. There has been a little talk about doing book signings at the three MAX BMW store locations. To be determined.
There have been a lot of orders on Lulu and personal requests for signed books. My wife is flattered. As is the typical case, most authors don't make much money off their work. That was never the intent. She has enjoyed the process and is glad to see that children like the book. Thanks to everyone who has ordered.

Mine showed up the other day, this is a real nice kid's book. Look forward to many nights of reading with the family. Well worth the couple of bucks spent on it.
About to order for my two, soon to be three sons. Maybe I should just buy three copies? Looks great and I'm sure my four year old will dig it.
PM the OP and see if his wife is still doing the personal signing, she did for me and I think it's kinda cool.
At the MAX BMW store in New Hampshire yesterday. Jen is behind the table...and so is the bike that inspired the story.
