I pulled up cycle-ergo, adjusted the older bolt to reflect the new specs, an DC voila, the new bike sits almost exactly like my 2003 Nighthawk, which is a good thing....

Except another Nighthawk would be thousands less, and probably a better bike for the intended purpose.

Yes, probably and with a 28" inseam. Just like me. It's about time a new bike is released that looks comfy for the short people. Tall people have way more choices than we do. Now they will have to buy a seat that fits them for a change. So there. :nod

FWIW they say seat height is 30+ inches.

That cowl is just a cover on the passanger seat,
    Just like the bonneville thruxton.

That is Kevin Duke on the Bolt. I looked for his stats but didn't find them. There are plenty of photos of him on other bikes on Motorcycle.com

From the picture you can see that the rider is a lot more forward. When I'm on my R spec my crotch is no where near the tank, now you're right up on it.

That's why Yamaha added that thingy between the cylinders, for your knee.

The big question is, what is your right knee doing with the airbox? My knee barely clears it on the R spec. It seems like it would be more of a problem with the C spec.

How soon before those foot pegs/controls are available separately? There are parts of the C-Spec I like, and parts of the normal Bolt I like better.

I'll take the foot controls, the suspension, and leave the clip on bars. Would be nice to purchase a used Bolt in a year or so and mod it out as one sees fit.

yep, that's kinda what I was thinking too - buy the C-spec with the upgraded suspension, then add the mini apes and sissy bar that are accessories for the regular Bolt. Add some hiway pegs and a decent seat and it should be a pretty decent ride.

I wouldn't upgrade the suspension with C-Spec parts. There are better options out there like the Hagon's I put on my Bolt.

No one knows yet when the parts will be available, but the bike comes out in January.

Based on that pic, and estimating that guy's about 5'6", I think the bike would work well for me (6' even) with a loaf seat and taller bars.

That guy is Kevin duke, and he's about 5'6 and pretty small. But not not tiny or super short.

I'm 5/8, looks like it would be a good fit :) If this bike had been available last year, it might have given the SR400 a run for the money in my book.

    I'm 5'2" with a 26" inseam.

I'm hoping it does fit! Can't wait to see one in person.

I like it! However between Bolt C-Spec and Ducati Scrambler I prefer the XJR1300 Racer  But talking about Yamaha, it's interesting that US get Bolt-models but not the XJR 1300 while Europe gets both :splat

"interesting" - not the word I would have chosen. More like "frustrating".

Not out yet. The wait is killing me! I already got my clubman bars in. I'm going to start with the front end conversion of my 14'. Once the seat and rear sets are available I can finish the job.
