Well, it was another awesome event. My family and I had a blast and will be back!!

    My little story.....

Went for a fantastic ride on Friday with some old and new friends. Silverton to Lake City via Cinnamon Pass, back over Engineer to California to Hurricane and back to Silverton. Awesome day, awesome people, and awesome views. As we got to Engineer Pass, which is one of my favorite views anywhere, I knew that I wanted to take everyone over to the little point just past the official top of the pass. Those that have been there know it, 360 degree views that are an absolute must see. As we pull in, I am once again struck with the beauty of the area.....

As I am looking around, I notice an odd random piece of paper over in the scree rocks. I walked over to pick it up,
as I thought that it might be a piece of trash......but there saw a rock holding it down, that seemed odd.

    Sheet music of some kind.............

    Totally made my day!

To whomever placed this, my sincere thank-you for doing this......I shared it with several other riders as they
came up, and everyone was touched. Thanks!!

    A final shot or two.....

Thanks for the story zgfiredude. That story touched me too. What a special place. Being there has changed me somehow. Colorado will forever be in my heart.

MrsTwisty and I enjoyed meeting you and your buddies. Y'all were really nice that evening we stumbled into your camp. Maybe we'll see you again sometime.

I already have next years route planned...LOL It will be even harder, but yet shorter. Expect carnage.

I also hope to get out there for the whole week.
    :D

I also expect to do a hard day for bigger bikes, and I'll be on the XR650R with 6.5 Gallons of fuel.

Still working on it. Ya know me, I like to make a production out of my stuff. Finally found some music for the 1st video. I'm going to make a second video showing still pictures and so forth.

Currently I'm finishing up an 2001 Corolla Engine rebuild, then getting ready for the Cam1k......more video footage to come of this event too.

I'd love to have an F800 to show how a "Modette Big Bike WDKR" should be handled. Chances are I'll be down to just the DRZ next year if my current income and budget continue :D

I had some loose plans for pole creek but kept clear with recent rains. I'd heard it getz sloppy, but that's pretty rough.
