Is Brimstone Recreation worth the drive from south alabama?

I am wanting to go to a more or less large national park type outdoor area to ride dirtbikes and was curious if Brimstone is the best option or is there somewhere similar that I have not heard about? Thanks for any advice.

Kentuck trails are pretty cool. Fast banked trails last I was there...kinda like the talladega speedway. And there is camping on site, though I think it is first come first served and it's only $5/day.

I can't tell you much about Brimstone specifically. any of the riding in this area is similar, you'll have logging/mining roads through woods, not much single track if that's what you're looking for.

In the same general area look at

South Cumberland WMA (AKA Royal Blue) it joins brimstone and Windrock and extends towards Middlesboro, KY I forget the fee's but you get your permit anyplace that sells hunting licences. the most publisized area of it is behind the HUGE cross and Porn store just North of Caryville (huntsville exit).

Coal Creek (Windrock).......Google it very popular off road area, get away from the main area and you get away from the crowds

For dual sports it's an awsome area (E TN.) and that part of it isn't that well known.

alot of forestry svc type roads, lots of mtns. huge windmills, brushy mtn state
prision, devils triangle slabbed twisties, lots of history around wartburg,
plenty of streams. coal mines, oil wells, abandoned r/r tunnel, powerlines &
AWESOME back country riding.
its best to have a tagged bike to see it ALL. its alot like
hatfield mccoys in WV, but as stated not as much single track. at least i
didnt see a whole lot in my two visits. i think coal creek aka windrock, has
more 4 wheeler type trails. summer weekends are sometimes crowded.
