Wow, the snow plow drivers here in Rochester must be trying to eek out every last hour for their paychecks. (not that I should complain, I am grateful)

They've been by here 4 times - that just doubled the year-count :lol3

They probably ran out of other things to do, no snow to push means catch up for everything else.

I guess I got spoiled commuting on the GS last week. I ran errands on it yesterday until the DOOM started. :waysad
Was less than happy this morning. Roads were mostly wet, but saw evidence of a lot of salt on the road. GS will stay parked for the next couple of days.

So, a guy at work just acquired a mostly complete 1970 BSA A50. Needs forks.

Thoughts on a source? I know there is a big VJMC swap meet but I dunno about a Vintage Euro counterpart.

Try Baxter Cycle in Marne Iowa. And check out the vintage Brit iron in the back. A free museum, practically.

On my way to Austin TX and then the Big Bend area. When I left KC no sign on rain on the radar. After about 1.5 hours thunderstorms and then two hail storms in SW MO.

First hail storm I took shelter under an overpass. The second one in a Sonic.

Lots of flowers and flowering plants along the road.

I stopped for the night at a casino in Siloam Spring, OK right in the path of a tornado so I'm stuck in a hall with casino people. One guy is on a nicotine fit and a couple of woman think thy are going to die.

Enough weather adventure for this trip. Maybe for the year.

I absolutely love my Aerostich jacket and BMW "Wet" pants. I stayed dry riding through a lot of rain and some quite heavy.

Wednesday, April 1.... Day off and if not raining going to hit the winding dirt roads in the Welch and Red Wing area. Anyone else interested?

    Hi GB,
Just head down the road to Klempfs British Parts in Dodge Center. He's been buying out old British bike dealerships for years. Mondays and Tuesdays are busy times of the week for them but stop down later in the week and Mitch will help you ID part numbers or source missing components. He is unreal with parts for the various make/model/years of British bikes. His prices are fare but no great deals. However, you get the parts quickly to get the bike back on the road, I like that. Also, don't assume he doesn't have something just because it's not on his website, he's trying to add inventory to the site, but it doesn't reflect the massive amount of parts stock he has.

And if you're friend wants to sell the A50, let me know. ;-)

Lets say a buddy of mine. (local to you) had a 30's
' BSA. Good place to go. Hell it might be a 50"s I have to look. He also just got a 1913? Marsh motor....

Is this the kind of stuff they have?

Klempfs is primarily 50s- 70s British twins and triples. Mitch use to race triples years ago. Not sure if they have any singles parts for Manx Nortons, Vellocettes, AJS or Matchless But it cant hurt to ask!

Did everyone get rain this morning to clean up the salt mess? Nice downpour here in Minneapolis.
