:clapOK, definately going now. Just paid and registered after I got the 'only 20 spots left' scaremongering. So I'll see you all there and looking forward to meeting fellow Tenere riders. Going to take the 750 for a blat out west and leave the 660 at home this time.:rofl

OK. Wanting to head west from Bundy area to reach Longreach in 2 days. Anyone want to come? Was going to leave Monday and make it to Canarvon/or Sprinsure/ or Injune area? 5 - 600kms. Then onto Longreach on Tuesday, about 4-500kms for a Mid Arvo arrival. Happy to meet up with riders but don't think I could make Blackall by Monday evening to meet up with the mob from down south. So any route advice? Being that I am thinking of doing a "longest day" in reverse on Friday to get home I am happy to go away from the most direct route if anyone has some good "easy and flowing" tracks to transverse.
Also probably camping as the trip is costing enough and I'm a State Govt. employee with 4 kids who rides, not a rider who happens to have 4 kids and a job? Anyway any advice for camping on the way, and there. Was thinking the caravan park in Longreach unless local knowledge tells me different.
Finally tyres...... will a fresh set of MT21's or 606's get me there, do the ride and quick run home? 3000kms all up with probably black top or fast gravel home for the last 900kms?
    Any advice greatly appreciated. Jono.

Had to pull this one from the depths. Surprised that no one has mentioned it of late. :huh
Unless someone can point me in the direction of another thread I've missed. Or too commercial???
Anyway some people have left and a sizable mob are leaving tomorrow from Sydney.
I'm leaving with a couple of others on Sunday lunchtime from Gin Gin and heading to Cracow for the night. Cracow through Springsure to somewhere south of Alpha/Jericho. Then Tuesday north through Aramac to Longreach.
Any camping spots or advice happily taken as our route is not set in concrete.
AS written earlier Rod Faggotter has set the course and is supposed to be riding a XT600z 83' for the 30th anniversary. Also Stephen Gall is coming aboard a Super Tenere.:clap
Anyway looking forward to it and hope to meet up with some of you out there.
    Jono.

A lot of BLUE bits flying around town today, mother nature layed down a nice little shower last night to settle the dust. There's been a few off's on the wet black soil around Adavale, looks like a good number have turned out for the ride. Have a good one fellars.

Anyone know where these blokes are camped in Longreach?
Couple at the Caravan Park and spotted a heap around town, but haven't found their hiding place yet.
