I'd buy the Concept 6 in a heartbeat. I wonder if any variants using the new 1600 engine will ever be made.

I am the same way! I am in the market to buy but I want to upgrade my K12R.

Well, at least they could bring the K13R here. That wouldn't be too difficult

Dealing with all the old stock on dealer floors a year later might be.

I don't know. What I DO know is that if they make a K1600R, it is almost certain that I will buy one.

No chance. As the naked S1000RR didn't happen, i wouldn't hold your breath for a heavier, much more expensive and far riskier proposition from BM.

We'll get a K16RS, I bet. It'd mostly be a bodywork change. Big, fast, roomy and luxurious, like an M5.

My K13S us closing in on 4 years - it is better than ever and it is still my daily ride, but I am starting to worry they won't continue with the platform. There is absolutely no other bike out there I would replace it with as my main transportation.

But man, the idea of a K1600S makes me all tingly.

If BMW makes it, I will buy it. That amazing engine is barely any heavier than the one in my 1300 - it surely can be used in a less touring, more sporty application. Just take the current 13S, put that 6 cyl monster in it, put in the updated electronics and leave the rest unchanged (oh, and if you can fit them at all please cram in there those AMAZING leveling headlights).

OK thanks... let me know when I can put a deposit down... :rofl

Well, that sucks. I sat on one at the m/c show today, but I might be more tempted by the 'S' model.

    I'd like a K1600GS.

Probably not, truthfully. I test rode a K1600GT at an open house, and that engine is intoxicating. I didn't like the bike all that much. While I was riding it I just kept thinking...if they'd put this engine in my GS....

I rode the K1600 at the national rally, and then rode a 1200 GS.

The 1600 was wonderful, intoxicating sound, scary fast, and it would have no good outcome for me, either jail and no license, or dead. A rocket ship, fast, smooth, and a handful in town. It was not in it's happy place unless you were at seriously illegal speeds. Sweepers, not twisties.

The 1200 rally sport was much more balanced, still plenty fast, the ride leader was a Missouri patrol man they said. The pace was spirited. I hit over 100 and dug a toe in the corner. Whooo weeee. If the 2 were sitting side by side, the GS would win almost every time. And it was happy at lower speeds.

Exactly what I said after test riding a K1300GT when they came out. I really liked that bike, but no good would come of me owning one.

that would be awfully sweet! i sat on a K1600GT and an F800GT the other week. I'd like something in between. Something that would make me sell my K1200RS and my Futura(which is currently in the flea market).
