Has anyone heard any details of changes/updates on the 2014 models? I could only find details on the 2014 dirt lineup changes... (I'm just debating my timeline for switching from my 990 "S" to a 690 R and wondering if there are any significant updates planned for 2014...)
also very interested in details of the upcoming 690r. What kind of time of yr have they historically made the 690s available? Are we looking at fall/winter/spring?
I was told by a local shop that they're putting in orders for 2014 exc's basically now and they'll be out in a month or so, but the 690 is in the street lineup and wouldn't be out till march or so If anyone had any inside info that KTM would pay attention and widen the transmission ratios I'd wait for sure!! (I'm not holding my breath on that one)
I have been waiting on info for the 2014 before handing over the cash on a new one. My local dealer said they wont arrive here until around march and there are no updates. I hope he is making it up to sell me a 2013 but its not looking that way.
I am also holding, I am going guess it will have the twin spark head and ride-by-wire from the Duke for 2014. (if so that's great because the Duke is tons of fun to ride! although, yes, the ride-by-wire is more complex)
Does anyone know the part numbers or where to order the 4th, 5th, 6th wide ratio transmission gears for the Ralley 690??? They are wider than the american normal ratios. If you do, please chime in!!!
Go to KTM twins down load the parts manual and compare , I know they are different ratio can't remember that he ratios are
Used to be that you could just look at the parts fiche on KTMTalk. There was a link as part of their webpage header.
I'm waiting too... I guess we all want to see if there is going to be a WR Tranny.. This will be my only bike so I need it to go down the freeway at times.. But I don't think I can wait any longer!!!
This bike has been in production for several years now. What makes you think that KTM might be tweaking the gear ratios for 2014?
I run 15/42 sprockets and cruising @ 60mph is only 4,000 rpms. Top speed is over 105mph and I have been averaging 65mpg on road trips. I don't see a need to change the gear ratios.
i see one hell of a great afternoon in just that one picture! I'm waiting for the 2014 aswell, wonder what they are gonna change and stuff. If it's not to my liking im gonna try to find a knocking deal on a 2013.
I doubt if there are any major changes coming for the 2014. There may be slight changes but the can probably be added to a 2013. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...
