North to Alaska Motorcycle Tour Itinerary :eek1 (Modified from Motoquest for Go 2 Moto Tours) Day 1 Wednesday, May 16th: Arrival in Seattle, WA Please arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) by mid-afternoon. Hotel check-in. Join us for orientation. Stay in Seattle. Day 2 Thursday, May 17th: Seattle, WA to Okanogan Valley, BC - 319 miles We begin the tour in the University District of Seattle. Marvel in the difference in topography as we depart Seattle and take a scenic ferry ride across the Puget Sound to the longest island in Washington. Ride the length of Whidbey Island and take the Deception Pass Bridge back to the mainland. Cruise the Cascade Loop Scenic Highway. Stay the Okanogan Valley. Day 3 Friday, May 18th: Okanogan Valley, BC to Quesnal, BC - 400 miles Ride the twisting mountain roads and rolling farmland of Southern, BC as we continue North on the "Gold Rush Trail" towards the Cariboo Gold Fields. Stay in Quesnal. Day 4 Saturday, May 19th: Free day in Quesnal Ride, rest, explore... it's your day! Ride to Barkersville or one of the many side roads in the area. Explore museums rich in gold-rush history. Day 5 Sunday, May 20th: Quesnel, BC to Dawson Creek, BC - 325 miles We turn onto the John Hart Highway in Prince George and climb over the Rocky Mountains on our way to the beginning of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek. Stay in Dawson Creek. Day 6 Monday, May 21st: Dawson Creek, BC to Ft. Nelson, BC - 283 miles Enjoy the wide-open spaces of this isolated part of Canada. Look for Sasquatch! Stay in Ft. Nelson. 　 Day 7 Tuesday, May 22nd: Ft. Nelson, BC to Liard Hot Springs, BC - 194 miles Reach the highest point on the Alaska Highway at 4,250ft. This section of road is one of the few stretches that follow the original route blazed in 1942. So in addition to sweeping views, pristine lakes and rivers, and lots of wildlife, there are also some great twisties. Local all-natural hot springs to visit at Liard Hot Springs. Day 8 Wednesday, May 23rd: Liard Hot Springs, BC to Whitehorse, YT - 410 miles Theres gold in them there hills! And thats why Whitehorse is here! We cross into the Yukon Territory, Larger than life! Welcome to the headwaters of the Yukon River. Stay in Whitehorse. Day 9 Thursday, May 24th: Free day in Whitehorse, YT Its your vacation; enjoy the day, as you will. Rich in history, diverse in culture, and built on adventure, Whitehorse has much to offer! You may want to participate in an extraordinary day ride to Skagway, Alaska, and back. (220 miles roundtrip) Stay in Whitehorse. Day 10 Friday, May 25th: Whiehorse, YT to Tok, AK - 430 miles Ride beside the snow capped Kluane Range and cruise around Kluane Lake on your way to the Alaska border. Stay in Tok. Day 11 Saturday, May 26th: Tok, AK to Anchorage, AK - 328 miles Ride past Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest national park in the U.S. Travel a designated National Scenic Highway, the Glenn Highway. Arrive in Anchorage, late afternoon. Day 12 Sunday, May 27th: Fly home or opportunity to rent additional days from Motoquest Tours in Anchorage Alaska.
