    Hi Sorebums,
How did you do that? No idea... Maybe Georgie knows, ask her - she will remember. BTW how is Oscar Bataar? :D

I know your report Simon ;)

    Sambor

Argh my trick has been spotted.

I'm so glad you did Song Kol and got some better photos than we did. And you'd be glad that it didn't rain (or snow) while you were there because the tracks around Song Kol were as slippery as gooseshit when wet.

What time of year were you there as it's obviously a lot drier - I reckon you were there mid September? We were there early July.

I'm amazed that you (or some other madman) managed to get from Poland to Kyrgystan in 6 days 2 tonnes of trailer behind a car. We took 10 weeks to get there with 2 tonnes of gear on the GS. Do you have a photo of the car and trailer - worth a laugh!?

As to the trailer: bus drove non stop from Poland to Kyrgyzstan. Over 5000 km. Stop only for fuel, police and border crossing ;)

It's a magic tour Sambor.. After I read your report I started to think about my summer travel plan and I think you probably have changed my plans..

Now I'm thinking the possibility of Istanbul - Batumi (Georgia) -Tbilisi (Georgia) - Baku (Azebaijan) and then by using a Ferry tu Turkhmenbasi (Turkmensitan) and then a route including Turkmienstan - TAjikisntan - Kygyzstan - Usbekistan and back to Azerbaijan again..

It's possibble and wil be an easier than yours I think.. But resources? There is no books and maps.. I found some books form Amazon today and ordered but no maps.. Can you help me how to find maps for that area? Or is it possible to have sopme fotocopies of your maps byt post? (Of course all costs are mine)..

I checked from google maps and google earth to be sure at least main route, which cities.. But I see no roads especially for Tajikistan on google.. And I even can not plan that trip..

Simply, I need all kind of soruces and especially maps and I nee dyour help about it.

    And some questions..

What season would be the best for visiting those area?
We'll be two motorbikes and two persons and will it be possible to find hotels or at least beds or we need tents?
What about currencies? USD or EURs? Any problem keeping some money in your pocket (I mean official rules.)

Sambor we seriously changed our plan and this summer we'll be in the same area. We need all kind of your help you can offer.. My mail address is
    ilkaye at gmail com ..

Thanks and congratulations for that trip..

It is not typical road in Kyrgyzstan. Excellent tarmac between Osh and Bishkek...
